#15 A Crocheted Simplicity Square

19 August 2020

I am starting to get a little behind on my Traveling Afghan.. Whoopsie! But.. you know this will happen when you’re working on so many great projects! This square by A Crocheted Simplicity was a new challenge! You start crocheting in the corner until you reach the right width. I did frog my work a few times, because I didn’t quite get it.. but it all worked out in the end!

You can find a total overview of all knitting and crochet patterns of this CAL at https://www.twoofwands.com/travelingafghans.

Materials

As you all know this Traveling Afghan CAL is sponsored by Lion Brand. The original design is in one color, I use four. I use four pastel colors (green, grey, pink and beige), with Royal yarn from a Dutch store called Zeeman and crochet hook 6mm. I bought 10 skeins of every color. I’ve noticed I can make around 2,5 squares from one skein. I know I have to much yarn, but luckily this can be returned within the year.

A Crocheted Simplicity #15

The latest square is design by Jennifer Pionk from Michigan, United States of America. You start crocheting from te right corner and work your way up. By using a lot of basic stitches and front post stitches you get the lines onto this square. Cute pattern, a bit challenging for me this time. But I like a challenge!
