And I’ve finished another Little Golden Nook pattern. This time the ‘Oma Goodness Top’. I was one of the pattern testers and I got the chance to make this top first! Now that Little Golden Nook edited the pattern it is finally released! In other words: you can now make it too! And trust me you’ll want to make this.
Requirements
Pattern Oma Goodness top, available at LoveCrafts and Ravelry
Crochet hook 4mm
7 colors of cotton, 1 main color, 6 contrast colors. 3 shades of pink and blue and creme as the main color I used Budget yarn Cotton DK from Yarn Plaza
Needle
Stitch markers
Elaboration
During the test round little mistakes were detected and removed from the pattern. There are two different square patterns and I crocheted 108 squares in total. Next step is to crochet them together in a certain way. A big job to do, but everything for the best result!
Budget Yarn Cotton DK
The biggest advance of this yarn is the price, only €1,- per skein. Also it is really soft and crochets really nice. Only disadvantage is that will get a bit of a fluff at the ending of the thread. Since you have to weave in a lot of ends.. you might get fluffy yourself :-). But… it is still a fun an good yarn to work with.
Result
I think the result is nicer than I’d imagined. Also this tops looks better on me than I expected. It makes me search for my inner hippy! Kind of old school too with all these grannies!
