A while ago pattern designer Little Golden Nook was looking for pattern testers for her latest design: the Seedlings Sweater. Since I have some extra time on my I applied to test this beauty. Pattern testing is a absolute GO if you want to start designing your own patterns, like me. You learn so much! For example I learned a new way to crochet cuffs and of cours you learns the ins and outs of pattern designing.
Requirements
Pattern, buy it via Love Crafts or Ravelry
Aran of 12 ply yarn – i used 6 skeens of Royal for size M
Hooks 4,5mm en 5mm
Needle
Stitch markers
Elaboration
I participated in the first round of testers.. and I know there was a second one. Which means the pattern was adjusted after I finished mine. My sweater for example has some wider sleeves, a lower neckline and the length of sweater is a bit longer.
The pattern was easy to follow, but had some tiny mistakes, which are improved later by Sandra herself. So your result might be a bit skinnier than mine. Never the less.. I love this sweater and I can’t wait for winter to come!
Royal Yarn – Zeeman
The royal yarn of Zeeman can be bought in the Netherlands (and maybe Belgium) and is 100% acryl. The yarn is nice to crochet with, definitely because you use a average sized crochet hook (4/5mm). Next to the yarn I absolutely adored the color.. I just bought but didn’t have any plans for it yet.. (yarn addict much?). Also nice: the yarn doesn’t itch, which is handy for when you wear your sweater.
Result
As I said.. your version can be slightly different. But I like it a bit wider. I do know that I am going to make another one once the pattern is finished. A nice one for spring :-).
