Entlebucher Sennen dog Guus

17 October 2020

My niece turned 1! Which is a special moment, especially during this COVID-19 period. Her birthday couldn’t be celebrated the proper waay, but that doesn’t mean that I wanted to let this day pass… I wanted to crochet her a sweet gift.

At my niece her house they have a Entlebucher Sennen dog, called Guus. A very sweet and quit dog. I wanted to crochet a mini Guus, especially for my niece. Time to get ‘Mijn hondjes van sokkenwol‘ (my dogs made from sockwool) out of the closet. Did you know there is a part 2 as well? Even more cute dogs to crochet! I crochet a dogs once before, Unicorn Emma.

Requirements

Cotton yarn in the colors black, white, cognac and purple
Crochet hook 2,5 mm
Stitchmarkers
Scissors

Elaboration

You really need this book. Here you can find the basic pattern on how to crochet a dog. With this pattern you can make every single dog is this in book, in combination with specific adjustments. I didn’t make any specifiek adjustments for this specific pattern.

The pattern is, like any other pattern in this book, easy to follow. When you finish all the parts it is easy to sew this dog together. When it’s finished you have a new best friend! I mean my niece had a new best friend! I’ve seen little video’s of her responding on receiving the dolls. Really cute to see!

Result

See here the result.. what do you think? Doesn’t he look like the real Guus or what?!
