I have been following Suus from Liefs van Suus on Instagram for a while now, because she designs such fun and cute things to crochet! I was immediately sold when she shared a photo of her Summer Breeze Cardigan! A fun and playful cardigan, not to thick, for a cool summer evening..

Elaboration
The pattern is written in two ways: in a scheme with symbols and a written text. I find a scheme easier, because you see which stitch is up next. This makes it more organized for me.
Because I used a Twister to crochet this cardigan, you’re getting a beautiful colour gradient. I used the Twister for the full back side of this cardigan. Time to start using your solid yarn is when you start the front side of your sleeves (this is the moment you make a lot of chain stitches). This to continue the colour gradient on the front. Otherwise I went from purple/pink to yellow in zero seconds.. which I find not very pretty.
The amazing part of this cardigan is that you only need to sew two seams! You sew your sleeves together on top of your shoulder. Once you finished this, your cardigan is almost finished… all you need to do now is to crochet single crochets around your cardigan.. et voila! You summer cardigan is finished!
When you like to belt your cardigan (like I did), you can order extra Twister Solids. This is how you make your belt:
Chain 300 and next is 3 rows of single crochets in every colour. I used 4, so 12 rows in total. You can also choose for one colour.
Hobbii – Twister & Solid
The Twister Gradient yarn and the Twister Solid are a mix of cotton and acryl. You can definitely compare this yarn to the Whirls and Whirlettes of Scheepjes, but these are a lot cheaper! I am very happy with the gradient that arises while crocheting, it’s very pretty and subtle. And it also nice yarn to crochet with! A win-win situation if you ask me 🙂
