Ricorumi Koala

RicoRumi is the new cotton yarn from Rico Design. They’ve created several amigurumi crochet kits. The first set I’ve crocheted is this cute koala bear!

Elaboration

This crochet kit contains almost everything you need to crochet this koala bear. You’ll have more than enough yarn, a crochet hook and a needle. The only thing you need to grab are stitch markers, filling and scissors. But I’ve found the needle added in the kit is to thick to push through you stitches (or I crochet to tight). I did put this needle aside and used my own needle. Maybe you should too when you start crocheting this koala.

The pattern is easy to follow and I haven’t changed a bit. The koala is crocheted fast and the yarn is soooo soft and nice to work with. While you crochet you cute koala you’re also putting it together. When you finish the body, you’ve already attached the face and nose.

I am very content with the result. The koala turned out really cute and the yarn is so nice to work with. Next stop: Narwal, the next crochet kit of Ricorumi I will crochet.
