#24 Debrosse Square

23 December 2020

The LAST and final square in the Traveling Afghan CAL from Lion Brand. With this square the CAL is really coming to end. Only the border left.. which I already started on.

This stitch was new to me, but a lot of fun! It’s called the ‘waffle’ stitch and it got me hungry immediately. My breakfast this morning were, how surprising, waffles. Delicious, but anyway back to the square. This stitch is simple, a combination of double crochet and front post double crochet. Easy peasy lemon sqeezy! This square is made in a heartbeat.

Materials

As you all know this Traveling Afghan CAL is sponsored by Lion Brand. The original design is in one color, I use four. I use four pastel colors (green, grey, pink and beige), with Royal yarn from a Dutch store called Zeeman and crochet hook 6mm. I bought 10 skeins of every color. I’ve noticed I can make around 2,5 squares from one skein. I know I have to much yarn, but luckily this can be returned within the year.

Debrosse #24

This square is designed by Teresa Carter from New York State, United States of America. Her blog is called Debrosse. It is a nice design, easy to make. After two rows you don’t need the explanation anymore, that’s how easy this pattern is! With a lovely result. Click here to go to the pattern at Teresa’s blog.
